Questions we hear a lot.

What to send, what happens next, and how we approach materials, repairs, and custom work.

Getting started

Before the site visit.

Photos and a short project description help us prepare, but final recommendations and pricing depend on seeing and measuring the space.

We visit your home or business, look at the space, take measurements, and talk through your ideas, conditions, and suitable options.

Email cecilia@alohasunbreak.com. Include your island, project location, a short description, and days that tend to work for you. We meet by appointment only.

Yes, please. Photos help us understand the space and prepare for the consultation. We still measure on site before finalizing a quote.

We are based in Kihei, Maui, and serve the Hawaiian Islands. Send your location with the inquiry so we can discuss logistics.

The process

Quotes, timing, and existing installations.

Every space, design, and access condition is different, so consultation comes before a final scope.

We prepare your quote. When you approve it, the agreed deposit moves the project into fabrication. We confirm the finished work with you at completion.

Pricing depends on dimensions, design, materials, operation, access, and site conditions. We provide a free quote after the consultation.

Timing varies by size, design, material availability, and installation conditions. We discuss the current schedule when we review your quote.

Often, yes. We can assess repairs or new fabric when the existing structure is still in good condition. Send photos first and we’ll take a look.

Not at this time. We focus on building, repairing, and re-covering awnings, shade structures, screens, and custom covers.

Fabrics and features

Material questions.

We match material and operation to the exposure and intended use instead of treating every project the same.

Options include Sunbrella solution-dyed acrylics for awnings and cabanas, Phifertex and Ferrari Soltis performance mesh for screens, and marine vinyls such as Weblon Regatta for selected covers.

It is a shade screen whose fabric edges lock into slim marine-grade aluminum side tracks. The tracks help the screen stay tight and steadier in the wind.

Yes. Depending on the system, we can discuss Somfy motor and control options, including remote operation and compatible app control.

Yes. Please email Cecilia with your name, project details, and any photos or paperwork you have, and we’ll take it from there.
